The HZ parking lot is located at the Poelendaelesingel 12 in Middelburg. Students and teachers can scan their HZ pass to open the barrier. Guests can ring the bell at the barrier for it to get opened. After passing the barrier you should look for the white signs with a HZ-logo. This parking lot is located a few minutes of walking from the HZ. It is not possible to park directly at the HZ premises, but there is a disabled parking spot located at Het Groene Woud 1-3, right next to the HZ building.

Go to the HZ.nl site and log into myhz. If you don't have it, change your personal menu and add the selfservice portal. Then click on the selfservice portal to go there. Once inside the selfservice portal you can click on: make a reservation and then click book a space. The page you get taken to has some content explaining your options. On the right side you have a button which will take you to the booking.

To print a document, visit https://hz.mynetpay.nl/Login and log in with your HZ account. From here there are two options. If you want to print without downloading the printer, then you should go to web print. Here you can upload the files directly from your laptop and upload them to the printer system. If you are fine with downloading the printer, then go to mobile print and choose your operating system. From there folow the instructions on the site.

To buy something from the HZ webshop. First go to https://webshop.hz.nl/ and there choose which program or activity you want to buy. If there are still places available, then you can choose Order. The activity or program will be added to your shopping cart. When you are finished, click the shopping cart button and proceed to payments. There follow the payment instructions.

First you should check if you have enough credit on your HZ card. After tha go to the closest printer and put your document onto the scanner area of the printer. Then scan your HZ card to start scanning. Have the scan sent to your HZ-email to finish.

During the first year you only need one book. You won't need this book until february/march. Around the start of the Framework 1 course, you will be informed about that book and when you need to buy it.

During the first year you get the courses: Computer Science basics, Programming Basics, Personal Professional Development - Exploration short PPD-E, Object Oriented Programming short OOP, Framework 1 and 2, IT personality and Business IT consultancy. Each course has different content, as listed below:

• During Computer Science basics you learn about the basics of Computer Science. Examples are data-types, hardware components and number systems.
• During Programming basics you learn about the basics of Javascript: variables, loops, functions and how to manipulate a DOM structure.
• During PPD-E you learn skills that will help you develop as a professional. You learn to plan and work in teams.
• OOP is the folow-up to Programming basics, and here you will learn about typescript. You can use this to create simple games. This course contains a project in which you will be making a educational game for elementary school kids.
• Framework 1 and 2 will discuss the Laravel framework. These courses also have a project, which will contain the use of Laravel.
• IT personality is a course where you can broaden your knowledge, but choose how on your own. You choose activities and you hand in a plan of what you want to do. If it gets approved, you can continue. At the end you hand in a portfolio about what you learned. It is not allowed for your activities to overlap the content you will learn in this study program.
• Business IT consultancy is the course where you will learn how to connect IT and business with eachother. So you can form the bridge between the requirements and the technical solution that fits those requirements.
